Scheduling Representative/Medical Receptionist

Position Overview

As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve our community. Our Customer Care Team is the face of CNS Healthcare. We seek a supportive team member who can assist co-workers and serve clients effectively. The Scheduling Representative plays a crucial role by coordinating appointment scheduling to connect individuals with providers and services.

Compensation

The starting pay ranges from $14.88 to $17.50 hourly, based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming calls courteously and professionally
  • Verify caller identity and needs to direct calls appropriately
  • Review electronic health records to determine scheduling needs
  • Use CNS Healthcare scheduling system to book appointments and transportation
  • Monitor voicemail and inbox for follow-up and scheduling
  • Notify clinical staff of scheduling updates and changes
  • Follow up on tasks like missed appointments and rescheduling
  • Maintain and update electronic health records
  • Adhere to policies, HIPAA standards, and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and staff
  • Utilize agency resources for call handling
  • Support other team functions as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of office experience
  • Strong customer service skills in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in word processing, data entry, and phone communication
  • Initiative and forward-thinking abilities
  • Discretion handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster inclusivity
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical office settings
  • Experience with behavioral health or substance use disorders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records
  • Bilingual skills
