Job summary

S&B USA Construction is seeking Summer 2027 Interns for its Fay, VA-based civil infrastructure projects. The program focuses on planning, scheduling, and project controls, offering exposure to CPM scheduling, bid development, and on-site observation on major bridges and highway projects.

Interns will learn to develop baselines, update schedules, and prepare reports while visiting job sites to observe construction means and methods under experienced project managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering, General Engineering or Construction Management—minimum one year completed.
• Strong computer and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Learn CPM scheduling and the Longest Path to complete a project.
• Develop a basic schedule with a WBS for a 3-span bridge.
• Assign logic ties to determine project duration.
• Develop and update CPM schedules for bids and active contracts.
• Create calendars in P6 identifying workdays vs non-work days.
• Allocate resources (labor, material, equipment) for activities in P6.
