Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking a Scheduling Lead for the Cedar Creek project. You will interrogate the contractor’s programme, identify the critical path, and report truthfully to the project team on schedule status.

You will review progress, own independent assessments, drive path and float analyses, and ensure changes are reflected in the schedule, with strong expertise in Primavera P6 and related tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years scheduling large capital projects.
• 5+ years representing an owner or client over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
• Expert Primavera P6 skills.
• Hands-on delay analysis experience.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge the contractor’s schedule, logic and progress claims.
• Own the owner’s independent schedule assessment.
• Drive critical path and float analysis, and flag slippage early.
• Review work package sequencing against the schedule.
• Evaluate the schedule impact of change requests and delay events.
• Ensure approved changes are reflected in the project schedule.
• Produce schedule reporting for the project and executive team.

Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Scheduling Lead you interrogate the contractor’s programme and tell the project the truth about the critical path — including when that truth is unwelcome.
