Responsibilities

The Scheduling Analyst collaborates with market leaders and Lead Schedulers to develop strategies and action plans to optimize patient engagement, evaluate and implement scheduling policies, and ensure effective workflows. The role involves working with medical assistants, patient care coordinators, providers, and patients to prioritize visits, adhere to contact hours, and manage census.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain provider schedules to meet patient needs.
  • Manage provider census through proactive risk management.
  • Manage market census to ensure appropriate patient scheduling based on risk tiering.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to optimize scheduling systems and communicate patient requests.
  • Maintain relationships and communicate effectively with patients and families about services.
  • Handle phone calls to facilitate scheduling.
  • Escalate scheduling concerns internally and externally.
  • Adhere to patient confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in meetings and training.
  • Collaborate with team members and managers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 2+ years college or equivalent experience
  • 2 years healthcare or customer service experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to solve complex issues quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical thinking with high accuracy and efficiency
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Scheduling or logistics experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, illnesses, and treatments
