Job summary

Westwood Post Acute Care is seeking a staffing coordinator with healthcare experience to ensure proper nursing coverage for residents. The role requires maintaining schedules, auditing CNA documentation, and supervising scheduling processes to meet daily staffing needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Nursing Assistant license, demonstrate strong communication, and coordinate with the Nursing Administration team to uphold care standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet resident needs.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Report excess tardiness or absenteeism to DON per policy.
• Prepare monthly nursing schedule; coordinate requests for CNA and licensed nurses.
• Assist employees with scheduling forms and answer staffing/scheduling questions.
• Assist in rounds to ensure residents receive appropriate nursing care.
• Audit CNA documentation daily and maintain current certification/license records for staff.

General Duties

Follow NHPPD staffing audit guidelines and report to Administrator and DON if a minimum of a daily average of 3.5 total nursing hours per resident day is not being met.

• Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars
• Report to DON all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism in accordance with facility policy.
• Complete monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of unit and daily assignments for all CNA's and licensed nurses.
• Assist employees in accurate completion of forms pertinent to scheduling and staffing
• Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions
• Assist in making daily rounds to ensure residents are receiving appropriate nursing care.
• Assist in auditing CNA documentation daily
• Assist with maintaining records of current certifications/licenses for nursing department employees
