Job summary

Johnson Service Group seeks a Primavera P6 Scheduler to support nuclear generation outages and capital projects by building and maintaining integrated, logic-driven schedules in Primavera P6.

This role partners with project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and contractors to provide accurate progress tracking, critical path visibility, and reliable forecast reporting while adhering to nuclear quality, safety, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project scheduling / controls with Primavera P6.
• Experience in nuclear or regulated environments (power generation, etc.).
• Strong CPM scheduling concepts and Excel reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules in Primavera P6 for nuclear outages and capital projects.
• Build schedule structure: WBS, activity codes, calendars, milestones, and deliverables.
• Create and manage baselines; track variance to baseline and regulatory commitments.
• Collect updates during outages; validate percent complete and remaining durations.
• Perform schedule analysis: critical path, float erosion, constraints, and risk/impacts.
• Produce nuclear-appropriate outputs: lookaheads, constraint logs, dashboards.

Position Summary

Primavera P6 Scheduler supports nuclear generation and outage/capital projects by building and maintaining integrated, logic-driven schedules in Primavera P6. This role partners with project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and contractors to provide accurate progress tracking, critical path visibility, and reliable forecast reporting while adhering to nuclear quality, safety, and documentation requirements.

Pay based on experience: $75.00-90.00 per hour

Major Critical Path Component Replacement, Condenser and FWH replacement. Mechanical disassembly/reassembly planner with P6. Capturing disassembly scopes modify reassembly scopes to capture changes

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules in Primavera P6 for nuclear outage work, maintenance windows, and/or capital projects (engineering through installation/commissioning).
• Build schedule structure: WBS, activity coding, calendars/shift schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Create and manage baselines; track and explain variance to baseline, key milestones, and regulatory/plant commitments.
• Collect weekly/daily updates (especially during outages); validate percent complete and remaining durations with work owners/supervision.
• Perform schedule analysis: critical path / near-critical, float erosion, logic integrity, constraints, and schedule risk/impacts.
• Produce nuclear-appropriate schedule outputs: daily/weekly outage lookaheads, constraint logs, milestone dashboards, and recovery plans.
• Integrate contractor/subcontractor schedules and verify logic ties and data quality.
• Support change control by documenting schedule impacts from scope changes, emergent work, and approved changes.
• Participate in outage planning and execution meetings; communicate schedule status, risks, and recommended mitigation actions.
• Ensure schedule updates, documentation, and reporting meet station procedures and client standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of project scheduling / project controls experience with Primavera P6.
• Experience supporting nuclear (preferred) or highly regulated industrial environments (power generation, utilities, oil & gas, etc.).
• Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling concepts: logic ties, constraints, baselines, progress rules, critical path, float.
• Strong Excel skills; able to produce clean, auditable reports and status summaries.
• Ability to work onsite and coordinate across multiple stakeholders (engineering, operations, maintenance, contractors).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with nuclear outages (refueling outage, forced outage, maintenance outage) and short-interval planning / execution cadence.
• Familiarity with station work management concepts (e.g., work orders, emergent work, constraint management).
• Cost/resource loading and forecasting exposure (if required).
• Experience with schedule quality checks (e.g., DCMA-style checks) and schedule governance.

Compliance / Access Requirements

• Ability to pass background screening and meet site access requirements.
• Drug screening is required.
• Nuclear unescorted access.
• Must follow all nuclear safety and procedural compliance requirements.
