Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Scheduler II to independently develop and manage production schedules, ensure material requirements are met, and document production and material deficiencies. The role supports MST efforts across aerospace and defense initiatives and requires strong ERP and scheduling software skills.

Responsibilities include forecasting material needs, issuing work orders, and coordinating with multiple departments to keep schedules aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Experience can substitute for the required educational qualifications.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing/production scheduling techniques.
• Experience with scheduling software.

As a Scheduler II, you will take on a more independent role in developing and managing production schedules. You will ensure that material requirements are met and oversee the documentation of production and material deficiencies. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
• APICS or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Previous operational flight management experience.
• Knowledge of both FAA and U.S. Military operational flight governing directives.

Essential Functions

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
• Primarily office-based with the potential for hybrid work.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required.
