Job summary

• Identify and escalate material and scheduling issues to prevent production disruptions.
• Support the development of raw material and scheduling requirements based on production schedules.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory, procurement, and production planning activities.
• Assist in analyzing KPIs to identify areas for improvement.

The Planning Supervisor will assist in driving the strategy and managing the day-to-day operations of the material planning team. This role ensures that production schedules and material requirements are met, providing support and leadership to material planners to maintain the flow of raw materials and finished goods. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

• Assist in analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
• 5+ years of experience in operations or in a related field.
• Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Familiarity with the practical application of manufacturing, engineering planning, and/or inventory management.
• Exposure to materials management systems.
• Basic understanding of MRP I & II principles.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
• Familiarization with Costpoint Essential Functions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
• Requires standing and walking for a significant portion of the work shift.
• Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $85,768.30 - $117,931.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
