Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) offers a Military Fellowship Program in coordination with SkillBridge to provide on-the-job training for service members transitioning to civilian careers. Qualifications

  • Currently serving ACTIVE DUTY military and eligible for DoD SkillBridge program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field; can substitute education
  • In absence of a degree, minimum 6 years of related experience
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems
  • Exposure to the engineering change process
  • Basic understanding of master production planning
  • Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Familiarity with applicable manufacturing drawings

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive MBOM reviews and maintain revision control in ERP system
  • Create and process sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions/purchase orders
  • Allocate raw and finished goods to meet production and delivery schedules
  • Monitor material levels to prevent shortages and delays
  • Support and maintain firm planned, released, and in-shop manufacturing orders
  • Identify and resolve material and scheduling issues promptly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute supply chain schedules
  • Develop and maintain efficient supply chain schedules for optimal order and delivery planning
  • Utilize MRP systems to plan and control inventory, production, and procurement
  • Mentor junior planners and assist in their development

Job description

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) reviews and maintain accurate revision control within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Create and process sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions/purchase orders.
  • Allocate raw and finished goods to meet complex production and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor material levels to prevent shortages and scheduling delays.
  • Support and maintain firm planned, released, and in-shop manufacturing orders to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Identify and resolve material and scheduling issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute supply chain schedules.
  • Develop and maintain efficient supply chain schedules for optimal order and delivery planning.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to plan and control inventory, production, and procurement activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Mentor junior planners and assist in their professional development.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems
  • Exposure to the engineering change process
  • Basic understanding of master production planning
  • Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Familiarity with applicable manufacturing drawings
Qualifications We Prefer
  • APICS certification or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with Program Management
  • Technical/Engineering degree
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it applies to Supplier Management
  • Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military
Essential Functions
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Requires standing for a significant portion of the work shift
  • Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment

Estimated Starting Salary Range

$64,853.15 - $89,173.08.

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
