Job summary

Metric is hiring a Scheduler for its Charlotte, NC office to support heavy civil construction projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and field teams to plan activities, monitor progress and keep projects on schedule.

The role requires 4–5 years of scheduling experience, strong Primavera P6 skills, and the ability to translate field progress into accurate schedules. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Metric are working with a leading general contractor to hire a Scheduler for its expanding heavy civil operations. Based in Charlotte, you’ll work closely with project managers, engineers and field teams to plan construction activities, monitor progress and keep projects on schedule.

This opportunity suits someone with around 4–5 years of construction scheduling experience and strong Primavera P6 skills.

Experience and requirements

• Around 4–5 years of scheduling experience, ideally with a heavy civil contractor.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience across highways, bridges, earthworks, underground utilities or similar infrastructure.
• Ability to translate field progress and construction sequencing into accurate schedules.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Available to work five days per week in the Charlotte office, with project travel as required.
