POSITION TITLE:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduler / Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating resident care services in Assisted Living and Memory Care, as well as managing caregiver scheduling for the nursing department. This role ensures that residents receive high-quality, individualized care while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to support safe and efficient operations. The position works closely with nursing leadership, caregivers and other departments to support resident well-being and regulatory compliance.

Director of Nursing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
STAFFING AND SCHEDULING:
- Create and maintain staff schedules for caregivers in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident care needs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate shift coverage for call-offs, PTO, and open shifts.
- Monitor overtime and staffing budget in collaboration with leadership.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and communicate schedule updates to staff.
- Be on-call for staffing concerns M-F after 5p. On-call weekend rotation with Memory Care Director.
- Supervise caregiving staff/issue corrective actions when necessary.
- Train new caregivers for two initial shifts (one in AL and one in MC).
RESIDENT CARE COORDINATION:
- Assist with coordinating care services for residents based on individual service plans.
- Communicate resident care needs and changes to caregivers and appropriate departments.
- Support implementation and updates of resident service plans.
- Monitor care delivery to ensure services are provided as scheduled.
- Assist with resident move-in and care coordination.
COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION:
- Serve as a liaison between caregivers, nursing staff, families, and management.
- Communicate staffing changes, care needs, and operational updates to team members.
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions when appropriate.
- Support department leadership with administrative and operational tasks.
COMPLIANCE AND DOCUMENTATION:
- Maintain accurate documentation related to staffing schedules and resident care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and community policies.
- Assist with audits, surveys, and quality assurance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in senior living, assisted living and memory care.
- Prior supervisory experience required .
- Knowledge of caregiving practices and resident service planning is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
