Job summary

K&A Power Group in Augusta, ME is seeking a Scheduler & Cost Controller to support project planning and cost control across energy projects. You will develop the Integrated Master Schedule, track performance, and prepare cost reports in collaboration with Project Managers and various departments.

The role emphasizes EVM, change control, and ensuring alignment with client standards. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; CAPM/PMI-SP and SAP/Primavera/MS Project experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in project controlling and 4 years in construction project scheduling.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CAPM or PMI-SP certification preferred.
• SAP experience required; Primavera and/or MS Project experience preferred.
• Avangrid approval required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project cost reports, deviations, and forecasts.
• Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedule and project sequences.
• Perform EVM, assess progress, and monitor budget versus forecast.
• Coordinate with functional departments to ensure control policies and standards are followed.
• Provide guidance on scheduling methods and best practices.

The Scheduler and Cost Controller is required to produce a variety of regular and ad hoc reports in support of our project planning and control initiatives Working closely with all functional departments the Cost Controller plays a key role in ensuring that policies procedures and standards are adhered toVerifying the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to the project budget Producing required accounting and project cost reports Producing reports on deviations under runs and over runs Preparing forecasts and cost trend reports Reviewing and evaluating trends and their impact on project costs Monitoring project costs and commitment to budget and forecast Maintaining change control and the change order Assessing progress measurement and developingupdating progress curves for progress reporting Responsible for EVM during all project stagesDevelop an Integrated Master Schedule of the project according to Customer standards and approved scheduling toolDevelop and evaluate the activities in the Integrated Project Schedule that affect the project and be able to capture work that can be completed in six 6 month Look Ahead increments including work on critical path work with less than 2 weeks float work that can be consolidated and work required to support that which is compatible with other projectsDevelop Project SequenceLogic preparation of project schedules that accurately identify the interrelationship of activities to be performed by the various disciplines and Third Party involvement in the projectPerform Current Schedule and Cost EV AC vs Performance Measurement Baseline compare and highlight major activity deviations between the original baseline and the current plan based on monthly updatesPerform Critical Path Analysis identify and analyze critical pathsactivities to ascertain project completion in time and in budget including forecasting delays and evaluation of alternative scenariosOverall responsibility for providing guidance to other project personnel on good scheduling practices and techniquesCustomer Manager Planning and Control will coordinate Scheduler Cost Controller Group to ensure the accomplishment of the Portfolio planning and control goalsScheduler Cost Controller Group will work under Manager Planning and Control who will provide direction and oversightProduce a variety of regular and ad hoc reports in support of our project planning and control initiativesWork closely with all functional departments the ControllerCost Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that policies procedures and standards are adhered toResponsible for developing implementing feeding reconciling and maintaining valuable project control databases and reports for projectsManages and ensures the reconciliation of program controls data with financial and performance systems coordinating with Project ManagersVerifies the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to the project budgetProducing required accounting and project costProducing reports on deviations under runs and over Preparing forecasts and cost trendReviewing and evaluating trends and their impact on projectMonitoring project costs and commitment to budget andMaintaining change control and the change orderAssessing progress measurement and developingupdating progress curves for progress reportingResponsible for EVM during all project stages.
