Job summary

A consulting and engineering firm in Rochester, New York, is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler & Cost Controller. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CAPM or PMI-SP Certificate or equivalent (requires Avangrid approval).
• SAP experience required.
• Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project experience required.
• Experience in Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG.

Responsibilities

• Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of project planning and control initiatives.
• Verify the accuracy of all cost information and monitor deviations.
• Develop an Integrated Master Schedule of the project according to customer standards.
• Prepare project sequences/logic to identify interrelationships among disciplines.
• Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. PMB comparisons.
• Coordinate with the Scheduler-Cost Controller Group to meet portfolio planning goals.
• Ensure costs are accurately tracked, coded, and reported.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Scheduler & Cost Controller to join our team at K&A Engineering in Rochester, New York. Responsibilities

• Produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of project planning and control initiatives; work closely with all functional departments to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to.
• Verify the accuracy of all cost information, including proper coding and allocation to the project budget; produce required accounting and project cost reports and forecasts; monitor deviations, under-runs and over-runs; develop progress curves and assess progress reporting; responsible for EVM during all project stages.
• Develop an Integrated Master Schedule of the project according to customer standards and approved scheduling tool.
• Develop and evaluate activities in the Integrated Project Schedule, including six-month Look-Ahead planning and critical path work with tight float; coordinate with other projects as needed.
• Prepare project sequences/logic to identify interrelationships among disciplines and third-party involvement.
• Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. PMB comparisons and highlight major deviations from the baseline based on monthly updates.
• Perform Critical Path Analysis to forecast delays and evaluate alternative scenarios; provide guidance on scheduling practices and techniques.
• Coordinate with the Scheduler-Cost Controller Group to meet portfolio planning and control goals; receive direction from Manager Planning and Control.
• Develop, maintain and reconcile project control databases and reports; coordinate with Project Managers to ensure data integrity.
• Ensure costs are accurately tracked, coded, and reported; produce regular and ad-hoc reports on deviations and cost trends.

What We’re Looking For
