At Bon Secours Southern Virginia Rehab Services, we are passionate about helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life through personalized physical, occupational, and speech therapy care as well as cardiac rehabilitation. As a growing and community-focused practice, we are looking for a friendly, dependable and Front Office Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience from the moment they walk in the door.
Welcome and check in patients with warmth and professionalism
Schedule and confirm appointments, including recurring rehab sessions
Verify insurance benefits and physical therapy coverage
Collect co-pays and process patient payments
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the EMR system
Answer incoming calls and route messages to clinical staff
Coordinate patient flow between front office and therapists
Assist with billing questions and insurance authorizations as needed
Keep reception and waiting areas organized and inviting
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a physical therapy, chiropractic, or healthcare setting preferred
Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus
Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented, with a professional and positive attitude
