Job summary

Wainwright Talent Partners seeks an experienced scheduler to develop and manage pre-construction and construction schedules. You will lead bid, proposal, and project schedule development with project teams, self-perform work, and trade partners.

You will monitor schedule quality, perform delay analysis, and prepare weekly KPIs and narratives for project health. Proficiency in P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

  • Requires degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years in construction with 5 years scheduling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with CPM scheduling.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and processes.
  • Familiarity with financial management systems and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of contract and notice requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specs.
  • Proficiency with P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scheduling procedures for the scheduling department.
  • Update and monitor quality of project team schedule updates.
  • Lead development of bid, proposal, and project schedules with teams and subcontractors.
  • Develop schedule detail and perform preconstruction and construction updates.
  • Prepare as-built schedules and month-end reports.

Job description

Develop pre-construction and construction job schedules to maintain timely and profitable job completion.

Job Description
  • Assist with developing scheduling department procedures
  • Update and monitor the quality of project team schedule updates
  • Lead the development of bid / proposal/ project schedules and subcontractor schedules with project teams, self-perform, and trade partners
  • Develop schedule detail, perform preconstruction and construction schedule updates
  • Prepare and analyze as built schedules
  • Prepare and oversee month end schedule reports and narratives
  • Flag scheduling risks and communicate risks with Teams
  • Perform delay and productivity analysis to calculate costs, write entitlement narratives, etc., for change orders and claims
  • Assist in mediation preparation and trade contractor negotiations
  • Assist project teams with measures recommendation regarding preserving rights for changes and claims
  • Perform and oversee with P6 database management, activity coding, cost, and resource loading in P6 schedules
  • Perform P6 and hands-on schedule trainings
  • Prepare and communicate weekly KPIs for Project and Self-Perform Teams
  • Assist with reporting scheduling metrics, status, and project health to Project & Division management
  • Uses knowledge of financial management systems, contract and notice requirements to support teams with scheduling
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements or Experience Requirements
  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent
  • 5 years of construction experience including 5 years scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling Critical Path Method
  • Working knowledge of construction methods and processes
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and construction cost accounting
  • Knowledge of contract requirements and notice requirements
  • Understands job cost information
  • Able to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with P6,MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite
  • Working knowledge of virtual construction technology systems
