Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly and transfer to the appropriate department.
• Schedule radiology procedures and exams with patient prep.
• Review referring orders and insurance authorizations.
• Contact patients and offices to confirm appointments and exam details.
• Verify insurance coverage as needed.
• Monitor inbound faxes from referring providers and fax reports as requested.
• Provide Mandarin translation or interpretation as needed.
• Cross-train and support front desk operations as needed.

Description

Astrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing communication with providers and patients, and supporting the daily operations of the department. Fluency in Mandarin is required, and additional language skills are a plus. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient service in a healthcare setting.

What You’ll Do

• Answer phone calls promptly and transfer to the appropriate department
• Schedule radiology procedures and exams; provide preparation instructions to patients
• Review and confirm referring provider orders and insurance authorizations
• Contact patients and physician offices to confirm appointments and deliver exam prep details
• Verify insurance coverage as needed
• Monitor and respond to incoming faxes from referring providers
• Fax reports to requesting physician offices
• Provide interpretation or translation as needed (Mandarin required)
• Assist other departments with obtaining medical history or insurance information
• Contact IPAs or insurance providers to initiate authorization requests as directed
• Request prior imaging records from outside facilities when necessary
• Cross-train and support front desk operations as needed
• Complete other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
• Participate in monthly office meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• This is a full-time, in-person position located at 9700 Flair Drive, El Monte, CA 91731.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am - 5:30pm, plus every other Saturday 9am-1pm.
• The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
