Job summary

Imagineering Finishing Technologies is seeking a Scheduler to oversee scheduling, processing, testing, and production-related activities to meet the On Time Delivery goal. Responsibilities include coordinating with team members and customers to track orders and adjust schedules based on due dates.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work with Operations and Plant Manager to optimize resources and maintain a clean, efficient production environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify bottlenecks and reallocate resources with Operations to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager on equipment needs and maintain a clean production environment.
• Participate in daily production meetings and support related duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Scheduler is directly responsible for overseeing scheduling, processing, testing, administrative, and/or other production-related processes to facilitate the company On Time Delivery Goal. These Production Schedules will be based on Customer due dates and based on our date change rules.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining Company On Time Delivery by working with individual team members regarding scheduling and personnel needs
• Communicating with internal and external customers, and production administrative staff to monitor the status of customer orders, and to facilitate changes as needed
• Work with Operations team on Recognizing and removing bottlenecks by re-allocating any and all required resources as necessary to meet corporate objectives
• Working and communicating effectively with the Plant Manager regarding equipment and maintenance needs, and to provide a neat, clean, and organized production environment
• Takes initiative to develop and apply professional knowledge and skills in order to improve organizational performance
• Participate daily production meeting
• Performs other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

JOB LEVEL

Intermediate. Although some requirements of the job can be considered routine, many aspects require good judgement and excellent decision-making skills. Reports directly to the Plant Manager

SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• 2 years related experience highly preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

JOB COMPLEXITY

Assignments are complex in nature. Advanced planning, problem solving skills, prioritizing, and communication with internal and external customers is paramount to success. The ability to motivate, manage, and direct the efforts of the production staff, while maintaining the highest quality standards, in an efficient and cost-effective manner is required.

SUPERVISION

Normally receives little input on daily operational issues unless solicited. Is routinely provided with broad statements of corporate philosophy as well as specific corporate goals and objectives, and is responsible for monitoring and ensuring progress towards attainment of planned results.

TRAVEL

Travel between South Bend, IN facilities may be required periodically. Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
