Job summary

Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate surgical and other procedure scheduling across multiple departments. You will work with physicians and anesthesiologists to follow scheduling guidelines and ensure necessary equipment is on hand.

The role also involves collecting patient demographics and insurance data, updating the scheduling system, and communicating changes to the team. You will mentor new staff as a preceptor and support a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Secretarial, computer and clerical skills acquired through formal education and training also preferred.
• Experience: Six months experience in office functions acquired through hospital or medical office work preferred. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, including computer terminals.
