Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a detail-oriented scheduling specialist to manage surgery, procedure, and diagnostic test appointments. You will work closely with clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate patient flow.

A background in medical terminology and clerical work is required, with preferred experience in hospital scheduling systems and insurance precertification. Hours are 8am–5pm, on-site, with standard duties.

Responsibilities

Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice. Schedules surgeries, procedures and diagnostic testing. Requires general knowledge of specified surgical procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing and other related functions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
• One year of medical related clerical experience

PREFERRED

• Previous experience in hospital/medical office scheduling environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
• Prior experience in insurance precertification
• One (1) year secretarial experience at a healthcare organization.

8am-5pm
