Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to support the practice by handling scheduling for surgeries, procedures, and diagnostics. The role requires understanding of medical terminology and at least one year of medical clerical experience, with preference for hospital scheduling exposure.

The position runs 8am–5pm in our Canton, GA location. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating multiple appointments, maintaining accurate scheduling records, and adapting to busy clinical

Responsibilities

Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice. Schedules surgeries, procedures and diagnostic testing. Requires general knowledge of specified surgical procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing and other related functions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology


• One year of medical related clerical experience

PREFERRED

• Previous experience in hospital/medical office scheduling environment.


• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system


• Prior experience in insurance precertification


• One (1) year secretarial experience at a healthcare organization.

Work Hours: 8am - 5pm
