Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an organized Scheduling Clerk to support our practice operations in Atlanta, GA. You will schedule surgeries, procedures and diagnostic testing, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient flow.

The role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology and at least one year of medical-related clerical experience. Prior hospital or medical office scheduling experience and familiarity with scheduling software are preferred.

Required

• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
• One year of medical related clerical experience

Preferred

• Previous experience in hospital/medical office scheduling environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
• Prior experience in insurance precertification
• One (1) year secretarial experience at a healthcare organization.
