The Project Scheduler supports all project planning and scheduling activities by developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules throughout the project lifecycle. Working under direct supervision, this role partners closely with project managers, superintendents, trade partners, owners, and design teams to gather progress information, incorporate changes, and provide clear schedule reporting and analysis. The position helps ensure that project schedules reflect contract requirements, corporate standards, and project goals while supporting effective communication and coordination across all stakeholders.
This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, and Microsoft Office, while applying strong construction and scheduling knowledge to define activities, logic, durations, and critical paths. The Project Scheduler monitors progress through jobsite visits, schedule update meetings, and stakeholder coordination, and supports reporting through dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking. The position also contributes to claims avoidance and project decision-making by analyzing delays, impacts, risks, and opportunities, including time impact analysis and other forensic schedule reviews as needed.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, problem‑solving ability, discretion, and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. The Project Scheduler must communicate effectively, represent Skanska in meetings, and help maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients while promoting Skanska’s Injury-Free Environment and safety programs. With a foundation in construction scheduling and project controls, this position plays an important role in helping projects stay coordinated, compliant, and on schedule.
