As a Scheduler, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and referring physicians, delivering exceptional customer service while coordinating multiple imaging exams across various radiology sites. Your daily responsibilities will include managing a multi-line phone system, verifying insurance details, and accurately entering patient demographics and clinical data into Electronic Health Records (EHR) and RIS systems. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, strict adherence to HIPAA compliance, and the ability to maintain organized records while multitasking in a professional office environment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, paired with at least one year of administrative experience in a healthcare or medical office setting. Essential skills include strong verbal and written communication, precise data entry abilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. While familiarity with radiologic procedures, insurance verification, and medical terminology is highly desirable, a demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate patient care and strong computer literacy are absolute requirements.
