Responsible for scheduling multiple imaging exams for referring physicians and patients in a professional and friendly manner. Gather and input insurance data and patient demographics and providing quality customer service while creating the best first impression for our patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answers a multi-line phone system in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Schedules appointments for multiple radiology clinical sites, assuring the diagnosis is appropriate for the exam ordered.
  • Obtains and enters accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Accurately updates and maintains patient information within the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Utilizes Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
  • Demonstrates strong Communication Skills through clear verbal and written interactions.
  • Executes precise Data Entry for patient demographics, appointments, and billing information.
  • Ensures strict HIPAA Compliance in all patient interactions and data handling, safeguarding patient privacy.
  • Leverages Microsoft Office suite for various administrative tasks, including documentation and correspondence.
  • Applies excellent Organizational Skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain orderly records, and prioritize effectively.
Requirements
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • One year of experience in a healthcare administrative or medical office setting.
  • Knowledge of radiologic procedures desirable
  • Good computer and customer service skills a must
  • Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
