Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a seasoned scheduling professional to provide region-wide guidance on CPM scheduling for proposals, development, submission, and ongoing project controls. You will collaborate with proposal teams, project schedulers, and field staff to ensure schedules align with Granite standards.

The role requires 5–10 years in scheduling within construction, strong MS Office and Primavera P6 proficiency, and experience with JD Edwards/One World.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (or comparable discipline) or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in a related position.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and Primavera (P3/P6); JD Edwards and One World experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products and strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review scheduling requirements and guide project teams during proposals and bids.
  • Develop and maintain CPM Schedule for proposals and bids.
  • Design and develop project schedules for new projects.
  • Provide monthly update support and guidance on existing projects.
  • Develop and implement scheduling standards and procedures; support P6 Web tool.

General Summary

This position is responsible for providing region wide support and guidance to proposal and project teams in all phases of the planning, development, submission, management, updating and analysis of CPM Schedules to insure conformance with company standard practices & project specifications.

Essential Job Accountabilities
Proposals and Bids
  • Review project specific scheduling requirements and provide guidance to teams
  • Technical proposal writing for scheduling subject matter
  • Design and development of the proposal/bid CPM Schedule
New Projects
  • Design and development of the project schedule
  • Subcontractor / vendor schedule guidance
  • Setup of Monthly Updating and Reporting procedures
Existing Projects
  • Provide Monthly Update support and guidance
  • Recognition and analysis of project impacts and delays
  • Provide support to project scheduling engineers
  • Development and maintenance of Project Controls procedures and Primavera P3/P6 desktop procedures
Scheduling Procedures and Software
  • Development of scheduling standards and procedures
  • Development and implementation of P6 Web tool
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business (or comparable discipline) or equivalent combination of training and experience

Work Experience

5 to 10 years’ experience in a related position

Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Access
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and Primavera (P3/P6) JD Edwards and One World experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of construction industry
  • Good written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a close attention to detail
  • Self-starter; able to seek out resources and structure own workflow
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff, as well as external customers

Base Salary Range: $91,944.00 - $137,916.00 Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
