Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Construction Scheduler to support Louisiana Bridge Builders with technical planning, master scheduling, and EoT preparation. The role involves coordinating with designers, construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure realistic schedules and timely progress.

Qualified candidates will have a civil engineering background with 6+ years in project scheduling using Primavera P6, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent field.
• 6+ years of proven experience in project scheduling with Primavera P6.
• 10+ years with a high school diploma and scheduling experience in heavy civil.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project planning, resource analysis, integration and forecast analyses.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status.
• Monitor progress and re-program if required.
• Integrate information from designers, construction, subcontractors and suppliers to create a master schedule.
• Coordinate between areas to elaborate a realistic schedule.
• Prepare detailed construction programs in Primavera P6.
• Prepare the narrative and dissemination of planning philosophy.
• Produce Cost Forecast and Earned Value management processes.
• Identify project problems and propose solutions; manage changes.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities.
• Monitor claims and change orders related to scheduling.
• Prepare Extension of Time (EoT).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Construction Scheduler is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by technical planning of the project for the purpose of finding out and planning the construction procedures and means of production necessary, the external ambiguities and conditioning factors, the most appropriate order for performance of the work and the partial deadlines and final deadline for completion of the work.

Job Description

• 1. Monitor the project planning, resource analysis, functional integration and forecast and trend analysis.
• 2. Reviews schedules and to prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and findings of analysis.
• 3. Monitors progress during construction and re-programming if required.
• 4. Integrates information from the designers, construction, subcontractors and suppliers to create a master schedule.
• 5. Coordinates between areas and departments, in order to elaborate a realistic schedule.
• 6. Preparation of detailed construction programs in Primavera P6.
• 7. Preparation of the narrative.
• 8. Presentation/dissemination of planning/programming philosophy
• 9. Production of Cost Forecast and operation Earned Value Management process
• 10. Monitors continuously all project problems, take advantage of conversion opportunities if any and recommend solutions for scrapping and potential.
• 11. Responsible for Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting.
• 12. Monitor construction claims and change orders related to scheduling impacts.
• 13. Preparation of Extension of time (EoT).
• 14. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

At a minimum, the Scheduler must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent field of study, along with 6+ years of proven experience in project scheduling and maintaining/updating Primavera (P6) schedules and performance measurement systems within heavy civil construction projects or a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 10+ years of proven experience in project scheduling and maintaining/updating Primavera (P6) schedules and performance measurement systems within heavy civil construction projects.
