Base pay range

$72,000.00/yr - $167,000.00/yr

We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Scheduler to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role, with options based in Los Angeles, Sacramento, or remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling for infrastructure or aviation projects and be skilled at managing schedules with multiple stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are successfully met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Review contractor schedules for compliance with project contracts and specifications.
  • Identify and analyze risks to project schedules and develop mitigation strategies to address potential delays or issues.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Monitor contractor performance and provide regular updates to project management and stakeholders regarding schedule progress, performance, and potential bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate time impacts of delays, change orders, and unforeseen circumstances to assess the impact on the project timeline.
  • Schedule Development & Maintenance:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage engineering and construction schedules for transmission & distribution projects for both public and investor-owned electric utilities across the U.S.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to ensure schedules and costs align using earned value management (EVM) techniques. Develop recovery plans when necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Client & Internal Coordination:
  • Work closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute project deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Interact directly with clients and internal management to report on schedule status, risks, and progress across a portfolio of distribution projects.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and develop comprehensive schedule and controls reports, including weekly/monthly reports for both client and internal management reviews. Reports may include resource loading analysis, critical path items, and risk analysis.
  • Assist the project manager in creating and maintaining project dashboard reports and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant Professional Licensure/Certifications strongly preferred (e.g., PMP, CCM).
  • Experience:
  • Junior Level: 0-5 years of scheduling experience.
  • Mid-Level: 5-10 years of experience, preferably in supporting active construction projects.
  • Senior Level: 15+ years of scheduling experience, including significant exposure to complex, large-scale projects (aviation experience is a plus).
  • Software Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other related software tools such as Schedule Analyzer, Claims Digger, etc.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling principles and experience in using these tools for project tracking and reporting.

Compensation

$72k-$167k

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
