Job summary

Journey is seeking a detail-oriented Nurse Scheduler to join The Woods at Lumber City in Lumber City, GA. The Scheduler coordinates nursing schedules, ensures staffing levels meet patient needs, and supports overall operational efficiency in our care facility.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills and a passion for healthcare, with CNAs or MQAs considered. This role offers growth opportunities within a supportive local team.

Responsibilities

• Develops and posts nursing schedules in a timely manner per policy.
• Coordinates open shifts with care team members and adjusts schedules as needed.
• Maintains current contact list for call-ins and emergencies.
• Obtains time-off approvals from the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Notifies leadership of potential staffing shortfalls.
• Reports attendance and time records to HR/Payroll for accuracy.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Nurse Scheduler to join our team. The Nurse Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating nursing schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of our healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities

• Develops and posts work schedules in a timely manner or accordance with company policy to ensure appropriate staffing needs and requirements are met.
• Builds relationships and trust to be able to make necessary contacts with care team members for open shifts and modifies schedule when required.
• Maintains a current listing of care team member contact numbers for call-in
• Coordinates and obtains approval for any time off requests with the Director of Nursing
• Notifies the Executive Director and Director of Nursing of any potential short or critical staffing levels.
• Manages attendance records, perfect attendance or other attendance related special pay programs the company may provide; and reports any necessary information to HR/Payroll to ensure time records are accurately captured.

Qualifications

• Certified in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Qualified Medication Assistant, preferred, but not required. If a care team member holds a Certified Nursing Assistant certification and/or Qualified Medication Assistant certification, the Nursing Scheduler may be required to function as one during critical staffing needs. They will be required to meet all the requirements and essential job functions as that outlined job description.
• A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalent diploma is preferred
