Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is hiring a Scheduler at our Fort Worth, TX location. This role supports clinic teams by coordinating scheduling for study procedures, imaging, and related patient care activities.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year in a healthcare setting, with strong communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical terminology related to scheduling CT/MRI/PET, biopsies, and eye exams.

Qualifications

  • One year experience in an outpatient physician practice or healthcare setting.
  • Effective communication skills and collaborative attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to scheduling study specific procedures such as CT/MRI/PET scans, biopsies, eye exams, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling protocol specific Study Schedules including scheduling appointments, radiology procedures and booking hotel stays.
  • Ensure prior authorizations are completed.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, including scheduling routine follow-up and treatment appointments, managing external referrals and consults, handling no-shows, answering phone calls, and rescheduling patients.
  • Perform the day-to-day delivery of quality services through consistent application of policies, procedures, protocols, and standards.
  • Communicate with patients and visitors in a caring and respectful manner. Collaborate with other care team members and anticipate their needs to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Use and maintain patient electronic medical records, including filing, faxing, and copying.
  • Assist with ongoing quality improvements to provide efficient, cost-effective care.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to maintain skills, knowledge, and competency to complete functions of role.

We are hiring a Scheduler who will facilitate excellent patient care by supporting and collaborating with the clinic team

Location:900 W. Magnolia Ave,Suite 200,Fort Worth, Texas76104

Work Schedule:8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
