Job summary

SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a seasoned project scheduler for Duluth/Edina hybrid work arrangements. The role focuses on complex, multi-year projects using Primavera P6 to develop schedules, ensure WBS integrity, and implement earned value management.

You will coordinate contractor and internal team timelines, deliver recovery plans, and maintain status communications with PMs and project controls. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, a degree in Engineering or Construction, and PMP

Responsibilities

• Develop a realistic project plan and schedule to meet objectives.
• Ensure standard procedures and systems for planning and scheduling are followed.
• Integrate proper WBS, coding and resources into the schedule.
• Implement Earned Value Management with accurate SPI reporting.
• Coordinate contractor and internal schedules per project standards.
• Update schedules with progress, milestones and completion dates.
• Perform what-if schedule analysis to assess impacts.
• Proactively report schedule status and mitigation plans to PM/CM.

Location: Duluth, MN or Edina, MN (Hybrid)

Description:

• Assigned to major projects with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity. Expert user of Primavera P6 software. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in project planning and scheduling and considered an industry expert in the field.
• Recommend best practices. Solve complex problems. Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
• Develop a realistic project plan and schedule to meet the project objectives.
• Ensure that all standard procedures and systems for project planning and scheduling are followed.
• Responsible for ensuring that proper WBS, coding and resources are integrated into the schedule.
• Implement Earned Value Management. Ensure accurate SPI and Earned Value curve are reported.
• Ensuring Contractor’s plans and schedules are prepared and integrated according to project standards and contract requirements.
• Coordinate and update schedules with actual progress and forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion dates
• Apply practical field experience with planning and scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans and prepare recovery schedules. Carry out what-if schedule analysis for different options or to assess impacts of certain events.
• Proactively report schedule status and efficiently communicate any schedule risk and mitigation plan with PM/CM and project control supervisor.

• Post secondary education in Engineering or Construction.
• Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred.
• 10+ years working experience.
