Job summary

WSP is seeking a Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in Buffalo, NY. This role will report to our client’s office in Rochester, NY, and support multiple design and construction programs across the region.

You will develop, maintain and analyze detailed schedules, manage critical paths, review CPM updates, perform earned value and time impact analyses, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing and managing project schedules.
  • Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
  • Project financial forecasting skills.
  • Change Order and Extension of Time analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in large client programs with multiple project teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Team player and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules to support client programs and design/construction projects.
  • Develop, update and analyse detailed execution schedules for multiple projects.
  • Create baseline schedules and review durations, logic, resources, costs, and curves.
  • Identify and analyse critical paths for reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Review CPM updates and produce Primavera comparison reports.
  • Perform earned value analysis and produce EVM reports.
  • Manage schedule changes and review change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses to assess delays.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and what-if scenarios.
  • Advise on schedule/ scope delays to PM and executives.

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Schedulerto join our Project Controls team out of our Buffalo, NY office. This role will physically be reporting to our client’s office in Rochester, NY.

Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for schedule management to support client programs or projectsincluding design and constructionprojects.
  • Responsible for developing, updating and analyzing detailed execution schedules for multiple projects being executed simultaneously.
  • Developbaseline schedule and/or produce summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
  • Identify and analyze schedule critical path/near critical path activities for reasonableness, relevance, and accuracy.
  • Review periodic CPM schedule updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Perform earned value analysis and produce EVM reports.
  • Schedule Change Management and detail review and analysis of change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery, conduct recovery schedule reviews, and perform what-if scenario analysis.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the Project Manager, Project Team, and/or Executive Management.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years ofexperiencein developing and managing project Schedules.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $112,900-138,030/year

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
