University of Oklahoma’s Weitzenhoffer College of Fine Arts seeks a Scenic Studio Supervisor/Production Carpenter to lead scenic construction and safety across four schools. You will supervise student workers, coordinate with directors and designers, and manage shop spaces and equipment to realize artistic designs.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret written materials and drawings.
• Ability to read complex materials such as blueprints, metrics or manuals.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience working with students and supervising lab personnel.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sets and props.
• Supervise student employees and lab students.
• Maintain scene shop equipment and tools.
• Teach and implement safety and security procedures in the scenic studio and theatres.
• Assist with upkeep of theatre spaces and equipment.
