Sorrel River Ranch seeks a dependable General Store Clerk for JJ’s Mercantile, our scenic riverfront retail outlet near Moab. You will greet customers, prepare coffee and grab-and-go items, handle sales at the POS, restock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

The role emphasizes accuracy, friendly service, and adherence to food-safety standards. Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Formación

• Must have Food Handler’s Certification.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the POS system (Shopify) and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and simple food items.
• Stock and rotate grab-and-go foods, pastries, beverages, and retail items.
• Maintain clean displays, coffee station, and food areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as scheduled.
• Support kitchen and store team during busy periods.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and peak hours.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure appealing displays.
• Ensure products meet quality and appearance standards.
