Job summary

The Scenic Painter Overhire at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. supports the Set Building Team by painting scenic elements, backgrounds, and related surfaces for Williams-Sonoma brands.

This is a casual temporary, hourly role expected to work daily, with overtime, evenings, and occasional weekends. Responsibilities include painting, wood staining, plaster finishes, faux stone, and tile work under the Lead Scenic Painter.

Responsibilities

• Assist in paint application for scenic elements, photography backgrounds, and surfaces
• Follow approved paint procedures to execute finishes, wood staining, plaster finishes, faux stone, and tile work
• Prepare scenery for paint treatments
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment across the photo studios, set shop, paint shop, and storage areas
• Uphold safety requirements, shop maintenance procedures, and production processes
• Collaborate with Set Building team members, photo studios, and operations teams to investigate challenges and troubleshoot solutions
• Other duties as assigned, including basic set construction, set installation, and warehousing of set elements
