Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an MCM Engineer to support government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. The role focuses on desktop engineering services, OS deployment, patching, and security baselines within an enterprise environment.

You will deploy and maintain images, automate tasks with PowerShell, and guide junior engineers while ensuring DISA STIGs and RMF processes are followed. An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of experience.
• Expertise with SCCM and WSUS for enterprise software deployment.
• Solid VMware vCenter and Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience with MDT and MCM imaging and OS deployment.

Responsibilities

• Engineer desktop deployments, patching, and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain baseline images for servers and workstations.
• Write PowerShell scripts to automate admin tasks at scale.
• Provide guidance to junior systems engineers on projects.
• Apply security updates and vulnerability patches using MCM/SCOM workflows.
• Ensure Windows STIGs compliance and IAVA RMF processes.
