Job summary

Harmons Grocery seeks a dedicated associate to ensure pricing accuracy and effective signage across all store items. You will print and hang thousands of price tags weekly, add missing items to the central database, and support reporting and marketing materials while delivering excellent customer service.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, proficient with basic computer use, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Prior experience with store pricing policies is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination that shows basic math, organization, and computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and vendors.
• Experience with basic pricing, signage, and store policies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pricing accuracy and signage for all products in-store.
• Print, sort, and hang 5000–10,000 price tags and signs weekly.
• Update pricing in software and prepare overstock reports for managers.
• Assist with new item entries and deviations from scan data using the store systems.
• Maintain displays, shelf strips, and end caps with correct pricing and signage.

$18.48 - $19.98 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this job is to ensure pricing accuracy and signage for all products in Harmons' stores. This person will be printing, sorting, and hanging price tags for all items in-store, adding items that do not scan to central database, creating signage for sale items, preparing reports, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position requires open availability, weekends, and holidays.
• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Ensures pricing accuracy and signage throughout the store by completing price changes daily and following the verification rotation plan.
• Prints and sorts 5000-10,000 tags and signs from the current software systems on a weekly basis
• Hangs tags throughout the store for price changes
• Ensures end displays and site items have correct pricing and signage
• Hangs tags for specialty item designation including WIC, Local, Gluten-Free, and Dietitian's Choice
• Prepares overstock reports for department managers
• Removes discontinued items from current software systems as schematics or seasons changes
• Processes item opportunities via the "45 sheet" and IBM not-in-file report for items that are missing from the current software systems or didn't scan correctly
• Submits unidentified item to the Support Office
• Communicates openly and frequently with the Scanning Manager, Store Director, and other department managers
• Completes the STAR training program
• Can properly manage department in managers absence
• Scans out of stock items based on current policy
• Checks email for recent communication (multiple times a day)
• Puts on overstock pricing, extends, and expires based on current policy
• Maintains shelf strips as they become damaged (dirty, cut, stretched)
• Maintains "can't finds" on a weekly basis to ensure proper pricing
• Loads the monthly schematic Plan-O-Gram (POG) and maintains other aisle assignments in system
• Complete marketing materials and campaign information
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole
