Job summary

MAC.BID is hiring a Scanline Floater at our Akron, OH location. The role involves preparing and positioning products for the scan team and removing scanned items for shelving according to auction lots.

Work is on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with daily tasks including inspection, classification, basic electronics testing, and rapid relocation of items within the scanning area. Responsibilities include meeting team quantity and quality goals and performing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Availability to work on-site; Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift.
• Must be tech-savvy.
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects.
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged.
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition.
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process.
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly.
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number.
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals.
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

SCANLINE FLOATER

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

Location: 1465 S. Hawkins Avenue, Akron, OH 44320

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
