Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Scanline Floater to support the scan team in Rock Hill, SC. This on-site, full-time hourly non-exempt role involves preparing and positioning products for scanning, moving items between bays, and helping the team meet quantity and quality goals.

The position requires lifting up to 25 pounds (50 with team lift), standing for long periods, and the ability to follow written directions. Workdays may include Saturday shifts and vary by workload.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on-site, with shifts on varying days including Saturday.
• Able to lift 25 pounds, 50 with team lift.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with basic electronics.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Scanline Floater prepares and positions products for the scan team, as well as removes scanned products and puts them away according to our system. This position reports to the Scan or Mobile Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
• Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
• Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
• Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
• Remove the scanned product from the scanning area quickly
• Move products to the bays, putting them on the shelves according to auction and lot number
• Be responsible for helping the team meet quantity and quality goals
• Sweep and remove trash from empty bays and mobile scan area
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and GM
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be tech-savvy
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
