Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Scaler Operator for an underground limestone mine. You will operate scaling equipment to remove loose rock from walls and ceilings, maintaining safe working conditions in confined spaces.
This full-time role requires a strong safety mindset, ability to follow procedures, perform basic equipment inspections, and collaborate with a team. A $2,000 sign-on bonus and union benefits including vacation and pension are offered.

Operate scaling equipment and tools safely and efficiently in confined spaces
Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify and address potential hazards
Perform basic equipment checks and communicate maintenance needs
Collaborate with team members to support safe and productive quarry operations
What Are We Looking For
Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in underground environments
Strong safety mindset with the capability to recognize and mitigate hazards
Ability to follow procedures, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team
Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing basic equipment inspections
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in physically demanding conditions
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
What We Offer
$28.76 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour underground rate
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out in two installments (6 months and 1 year)
