Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience as a log scaler is required.

• Ability to work overtime as operating conditions require.

Responsibilities

• Work outside performing log scaling, log sorting, and yard inventory duties.
• Carry out log accountability responsibilities and yard/deck inventory.
• Operate power saw and perform other shop and yard labor tasks as needed.
• Use handheld computers and scaling equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
• Complete post-offer physical exam, drug screen and background checks as required.

We are seeking individuals who desire to work in a customer driven, market-focused, log export facility while maintaining a positive attitude and work ethic.This is a union position. The workforce is represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM).Rate of pay starts at $36.98 per hour. After proven competency, and mastering all job responsibilities, the rate of pay for a Senior Log Scaler is $38.76.
