Job summary

Boston Materials seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Manager to lead the commissioning and operation of high-volume manufacturing lines. You will work with equipment and process engineers to design and optimize workflows, implement MES/SCADA, and build scalable manufacturing processes for novel materials.

The role combines hands-on shop-floor debugging with planning for process control strategies, requiring deep experience with early-stage materials processes and a startup mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience transitioning materials-based processes to controlled manufacturing.
• Familiarity with MES/SCADA and statistical tools.
• Experience IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
• Strong SPC and capability analysis.
• QA/QC systems experience.
• Independent worker; cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of new high-volume equipment to production readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and optimize workflows.
• Implement MES/SCADA and digital tools for real-time monitoring.
• Establish line readiness standards and PM programs.
• Translate development processes into controlled manufacturing.
• Define QA/QC processes and corrective actions.
• Promote safety, organization, and continuous improvement.
• Work in a startup environment requiring resourcefulness.
