Astera Labs is seeking a Fabric Modeling and Analysis Engineer to own performance models for Scorpio Scale-Up Fabric, quantifying bandwidth, latency, and throughput for AI workloads before silicon. You will shape architecture decisions and roadmap as the internal authority on fabric modeling.

The role emphasizes high-impact work at scale, collaboration with ASIC teams, and producing modeling reports for engineering, product, and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS or related field.
• 8+ years in network modeling, system architecture, and scale-up fabric analysis.
• Strong Python and/or C++ programming for building and analyzing models.
• Hands-on experience with cycle-approximate or event-driven system modeling.
• Experience with fabric models and high-speed interconnect knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AI/ML fabric models and simulators.
• Calibrate and validate models against benchmark data and silicon measurements.
• Develop analytical models to establish bandwidth and latency ceilings for the fabric.
• Evaluate topology choices and influence roadmap through modeling insights.
