Job summary

JBS USA, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for upkeep and repair of scales and other electronic plant equipment. The role requires learning state and federal codes related to scales and applying creative engineering to boost production and reduce costs.

You will diagnose printers, scales, metal detection setups, and drive systems while supporting production needs. A high school diploma or GED is required, and college experience is recommended for career growth.

Qualifications

• Requires strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and basic engineering/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair printers and labelers (direct and thermal transfer).
• Diagnose and repair scales per state/federal codes.
• Understand and install metal detection systems and methods.
• Program and configure HMI software (Wonderware, RSView).
• Install and diagnose variable frequency and servo drives.
• Work with A/C and D/C electrical systems at component level as needed.
• Knowledge of barcodes, printing, and scanning techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
