Position: Scale Service Technician

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and reliable operation of various scales used in industrial and commercial environments. Your duties will include installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Scale Installation: Properly install and set up various types of scales according to manufacturer specifications and standards.
  2. Calibration: Perform and adjust calibration procedures to ensure measurement accuracy.
  3. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
  4. Inspection: Check scales for wear, damage, and functionality, addressing issues proactively.
  5. Documentation: Keep detailed records of all service and calibration activities.
  6. Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients, discuss requirements, and address concerns.
  7. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and prioritize a secure working environment.
  8. Quality Assurance: Ensure scales meet quality and regulatory standards.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and tools, replenishing supplies as needed.
  10. Training: Stay updated on technology and industry best practices through ongoing training.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience with scale installation, calibration, and repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST Handbook 44).
  • Proficiency with measurement and calibration equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs) and work in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
  • Welding skills (AC/DC, MIG) a plus.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
