Job summary

EMR Group seeks a Scale Operator / Weighmaster in the Philadelphia area to accurately weigh, grade, and record incoming and outgoing scrap materials. You will operate scale systems, generate tickets, and maintain precise documentation to support inventory control and site safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with material verification, sorting, and disposal procedures.
• Weigh and ticket incoming and outgoing loads using scale systems.
• Create accurate, timely, and compliant tickets for all transactions.
• Grade incoming materials and monitor loads for quality and acceptance of commodities.
• Direct vehicle and foot traffic on and off the scale to maintain safe flow.
• Process inspection tickets and support inventory control procedures.
• Retrieve, review, and manage data using computer systems.
• Monitor the radiation detection system.
• Communicate with yard staff regarding materials.
• Report load discrepancies or quality issues to Site or Depot Manager.
• Stay current with industry trends and site procedures.
