Job summary

Waste Pro in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a Scale Operator to weigh trucks, enter data, and generate bill of sale. The role involves handling cash, processing payments, and preparing deposits while providing accurate customer service at the scale house.

You will balance the cash drawer, file daily and monthly reports, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Prior cashiering or data entry experience is preferred. Training will be provided for Waste Pro’s systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in cashiering, customer service, or data entry/bookkeeping preferred.
• Proficiency with computer software and 10-key calculators; accurate math skills.
• Experience in Post Collections, Waste industry, or transportation preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and respectfully interact with others.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems and to plan/work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operates the weight station scale.
• Greets and assists the public with quality customer service.
• Enters information into computer program daily.
• Prepares daily deposit.
• Balances and handles cash drawer daily.
• Answers phone and checks mail.
• Prepares customer charge invoices for billing.
• Receives and processes payments.
• Prepares monthly and yearly reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe scale office environment.
