PowerForce Recycling seeks a dependable Scale Operator to weigh materials, process transactions, and assist customers as the first point of contact. You will operate scales, issue receipts, verify information, and maintain records in a fast-paced yard environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashier, customer service, recycling, scrap yard, warehouse or scale preferred but not required.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and platform scales accurately.
• Weigh and process inbound and outbound materials.
• Assist customers with transactions and answer questions.
• Process cash, credit card, and business account payments.
• Issue scale tickets and receipts.
• Verify material descriptions and customer information.
• Maintain accurate records using company software.
• Direct customer traffic and communicate with yard personnel.
• Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-day reports.
• Keep the scale house clean, organized, and safe.
• Report equipment issues and maintain office supplies.
