Job summary

Waste Pro in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Scale Operator to weigh trucks at the scale, enter data into our systems and generate bill of sale. The role requires strong customer service, cash handling, and accurate data entry.

You will balance cash, prepare deposits, and produce monthly and yearly reports while maintaining a clean, safe scale office. Evening/weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to deal effectively with people.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• MS Word and MS Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operates the weight station scale.
• Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service.
• Enters information into computer program on a daily basis.
• Prepares daily deposit.
• Balances and handles cash drawer on a daily basis.
• Answers the phone, Checks mail.
• Prepares customer charge account invoices for billing.
• Receives, annotates, and processes payments.
• Prepares monthly and yearly reports as requested.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in the scale office.
