Job summary

Wayne Farms in Georgia is seeking workers to weigh and label boxes of product for late shift operations. You will handle 40–70 lb boxes, ensure accurate weights, labels, and codes, and follow all PPE and safety policies.

The role requires ability to stand for long periods, work nights, and cooperate with team members. Excellent attendance and reliability are essential, with responsibilities extending across departments as needed.

PAY: $20.40/hour

WORK SCHEDULE: 4:30 PM - 1:35 AM

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible for weighing boxes of product; ensures accuracy of weight, labels, and codes. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Must accurately weigh product and place correct label on box.
• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee's scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Poultry experience preferred but not required

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
• Must be able to lift and push up to 70 lbs.
