Job summary

Wayne Farms in Dothan, AL is seeking a weigh station handler to accurately weigh products and apply correct labels. This role involves lifting 40–70 lb boxes and working in a cold, wet environment with required PPE.

Shifts run 7:33 AM–4:25 PM; benefits are available on day one. Safety, policy compliance and teamwork are essential as you support production and other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Must accurately weigh product and place correct label on box.
• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee's scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers
• Do all tasks assigned by members of management
• Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.

$19.40 + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus

Preferred Education And Experience

• Poultry experience preferred but not required

Safety Requirements

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
• Must be able to lift and push up to 70 lbs.
