Job summary

Farmer Focus, Harrisonburg, VA, seeks a Scale Operator for the Acorn Facility to weigh products per customer specs, enter data, and maintain scale records on-site. You will support production by operating scale and office equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and clear communication with the team.

You will read processing paperwork, perform basic math, and complete tasks with attention to detail and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• General mathematical ability required to perform the job.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work assigned days and shifts, including some weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document information accurately.
• New team members must pass a drug and alcohol screening post-offer.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh products according to customer specifications and area requirements.
• Enter data using a keyboard and maintain accurate production and scale records.
• Operate production and office equipment (scale, fax, copier, 10-key calculator, computer).
• Complete paperwork neatly and on time; read processing paperwork and docs.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, leads, and management in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with team members and supervisors.
• Perform basic math calculations and analyze data as required.
• Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, including overtime as needed.
